The American Sewing Guild is a national organization with over 125 chapters. Meet people who share your passion: Our chapter's talented members share many interests, including garment sewing, quilting, and jewelry creation.

We invite you to attend two general meetings and/or neighborhood group meetings to see if we are a good fit before joining. Our chapter has 10 meetings/year with several special events. We try to have at a nationally known speaker each year. 

Your ASG membership entitles you to education, camaraderie, and discounts for various businesses, both local and national. Also included is Notions, the national online publication with news from many chapters around the country. You may attend meetings in any chapter or neighborhood group around the country with your membership. Junior memberships are also available.

There are several ways to become a member of American Sewing Guild.   You can become a chapter member, which gives you more access and face to face connections to what's going on in your area, or you may become a member at large with no local affiliations.  We hope you will join the friendly,  talented community in the Grand Rapids MI chapter.

• Come to a meeting and sign up there.  Grand Rapids Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the Plainfield Senior Center, 5255 Grand River Dr., Grand Rapids Mi.  Depending on availability of the Senior Center or weather conditions, some months, we  meet on ZOOM.  Be sure to check the calendar on this website to verify the location of the meeting.
